Engineer UJ Pesonen puts an ambient, electronic twist on two of Sara Swenson’s previously released songs. Now finding herself mostly in the UK, the Kansas City singer-songwriter brings with her the ethereal folk-pop sensibilities that won over audiences in the United States for the past several years. Swenson’s successes in the US include a song featured on the prime time American drama “Private Practice” in 2011, as well as opening sets for major artists such as Jakob Dylan, Dylan LeBlanc, Katie Herzig, Peter Bradley Adams, and the Lilith Fair (with McLachlan, Emmylou Harris, Ingrid Michaelson and others.) She’s been voted Singer-Songwriter of the Year two of the last three years in Kansas City and has toured in several major American cities. Her most recent project was an EP with her band, The Pearl Snaps, released in November 2011 (“Never Left My Mind.”) She also has released two full-length projects, “All Things Big and Small” (2010) and “Sara Swenson” (2008).
