MYFEVER's second EP, Born for Spaces, is a treatise on crafting grandiose, live sound in a bite-sized format. The record is a fresh new lens on MYFEVER’s trademark, coastal kaleidoscope, tossed tastefully with a fistful of familiar. Songs like “Childhood Keepsake, Circa 1991” hearken to a glowing midsummer carol, lamenting adolescence. While others, such as “Golden” and the EP’s title track, ground the band firmly in their fluency of groove bound alt-rock. A fitting followup to 2015’s See the Light, Born for Spaces holds its own with true intentionality.
