Mark Hewes is a graphic designer, filmmaker, and novelty music lover based in Boise, ID. Every year, he and a few of his friends record a Christmas album to share with each other. When Derek Webb released his groundbreaking Stockholm Syndrome album in 2009, Mark set to work reimagining it as a Christmas record. With subject matter ranging from a satirical look at materialism in the manger ("Frankinsence vs. the iPod") to labor disputes in Santa's workshop ("Being an Elf"), along with transformations of classic Christmas songs and hymns ("Bethlehem", "What You Jingle to Jangle"), Stockholm Christmas is sure to delight both fans of the original Derek Webb album and silly holiday music in general. This album was recorded using the multi-track stems released for remixing Stockholm Syndrome. Merry Christmas!
