PRE-ORDER the new record THE SHAPE THE COLOR THE FEEL at Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden play lush, layered indie rock with sparkling melodies and shimmering soundscapes. Formed in Seattle Washington in the winter of 2007, the band recorded their self-titled debut with Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Metric, Blonde Redhead) at Bear Creek and began growing a grassroots fanbase, playing festivals like SXSW, Bumbershoot, and CMJ. Upon release, the single “Faster than Cars Drive” topped the blog charts, and was featured on the Starbucks "Have You Heard" compilation. The album received heavy rotation on Starbucks in-store playlists and charted college radio. Songs from the record continue to be featured on major television networks and indie films. Fast forward to 2013, from Seattle to Nashville via NYC and a new incarnation of Swedes is hard at work on the long awaited second album. This time they’re recording in Nashville where Kate Tucker and original member Nic Danielson are bringing their northwest sound to a whole new place. Joining forces with guitarist Wes Chandler and drummer Ethan Place, childhood best friends from Pickneyville Illinois, and bassist Matthew Thompson, an authentic Swedish southerner, the band has an exciting energy that is evident in their dynamic live show.
