Like most kids back in 2003 I was an avid listener of Linkin Park. Their music was explosive and powerful, but for me, their lyrics played a more important role in my life. The topics they sang about were relatable which facilitated a deeper connection with their music. My childhood had rough patches here and there, but because of bands like Linkin Park, I didn’t feel alone in it. For me “From The Inside” represented all the things that I hated about myself and how I wanted to throw it all away to become a better version of myself. Looking back I've realized that I should have never been striving for a perfect version of myself. Life is never perfect, so there is no way for us to ever be, because if we were to ever be complete there wouldn’t be any more room to grow.
