Singer/Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist, D. Edward, is also an accomplished percussionist and currently tours with legendary R&B/Funk group Con Funk Shun as well as a bandleader in his own right. He perfoms his music in solo singer songwriter sets, just him and a keyboard, to a full on 8 piece band with horns. He’s performed at Room 5 Los Angeles, the Soiled Dove Underground in Denver, the ULUV Music Festival in San Francisco, Ashkenaz in Berkeley, Oakland Mayhem Festival (Headliner) & Awaken Café in Oakland, Neck of the Woods & 50 Mason Social House in San Francisco, the South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) Austin TX.

His first solo CD Little Red Box gained radio airplay around the USA. His song Truly broke the Top 20 of the FMQB Adult Contemporary Chart. He’s a ReverbNation “Featured Artist” and his music can be heard on Pandora, iHeart and Spotify radio among others.

His new album, Love Is, features Grammy Award Winning Pianist Laura Sullivan along with Trumpet player Steffen Kuehn, Saxophonist Tony Peebles from 2013 Grammy Winning band Pacific Mambo Orchestra and Billboard Music Award Winner, Leah Tysse. Love Is was two years in the making. It features catchy hooks and grooves with a familiar yet unique modern pop and retro soul sound. D. Edward has the ability to sound different on different songs yet keep his own style.

He’s also a board member of the Balanced Breakfast local music meet ups that started in San Francisco and Oakland and are currently expanding around the world as well as the Keep Music Rockin’ Foundation, which helps support the music programs of the San Leandro Unified School District.
