Born and Raised In St. Louis, Missouri, Benjamin Has been a musician since the early age of five. As he began pounding out melodies on a vintage Magnus electric organ, he understood even then, that music was to be his life. "I had that organ as a toy", Benjamin explains. "I never looked at it as a musical instrument until one day I happened to accidentaly play a melody. From that point on, there was no stopping me!" And there wasn't. Benjamin has been writing songs since the age of ten, playing piano, organs, and guitar since his early teens, and has even taken up drums. Washed in the singer songwriter music of the 1970s since childhood, it isn't hard to see where his style originates from. "James Taylor was a tremendous influence on my life. Him and Dan Fogelberg. They taught me everything about songcraft. First you have a story, right? then you have to give it finesse, continuity, melody, harmony. All necessities. But the story comes first. That's paramount." Paramount also to Benjamin's music, as well as his life, is his relationship with Jesus Christ. His main focus musically is to spread the wonderful news that People don't have to just accept their sin. There's a remedy that frees them from it, in Christ Jesus. Ben self recorded 3 albums before being signed to Tate Music Group in April of 2010. His debut album, "Grace In Your Face" was released in January of 2011. Benjamin's newest album, "Peace In The Storm" is an independent release which was released in January 2013.
