Ashleigh Davids will be releasing her debut single, “Black & Blue” on 1st August 2014. Produced by Exilic Music, the up-tempo Rnb ballad is underpinned by an anti-abuse campaign which will run concurrent to National Women’s Month in South Africa - the music release is one of many feathers in the afro of this hybrid creative.

On 7th June 2014, Ashleigh Davids curated an independent creative writing workshop, the first in a series called "Writer's Block". Hosted at Aniyor Bakery and Cafe in Cape Town, the session was aimed at creating a stimulating space for writers in pursuit of direction, inspiration and assistance in light of their respective challenges. This is an example of the 22 year old's double barrel approach to life an art.

A kaleidoscope of artistic goodness, the tea-loving book reader combines a smorgasbord of creative and corporate skills with a desire for social change and global impact.

A writer overall, Ashleigh expresses her love for words through poetry, song and blogging. Returning to stage performance after a brief sabbatical, Ashleigh has had a successful run of spoken word and musical activity since 2012.

Largely influenced by hip hop, neo soul and Rnb - Ashleigh enjoys bouncing between genres and creating a warm and vibrant listening experience for her audience. Ashleigh credits vocalist and former Groove Theory singer, Amel Larrieux as one of her finest musical inspirations and works toward a soulful approach to art.

At present, Ashleigh can be heard offering her vocal and rap stylings to Rnb/Pop song, "High on Life" by Capetonian rapper, Sundae.
