The Lighthouse and the Whaler is an independent band from Cleveland, Ohio, with what MTV describes as "really cool melodic folk rock... and a live show you've got to check out for yourself." The band has caught the attention of Paste, FILTER, KEXP, Under the Radar and others with what Daytrotter describes as "effortless folk-pop." The Lighthouse and the Whaler has shared stages with the likes of GIVERS, The Dodos, Sufjan Stevens and The Temper Trap, while touring the US in its beat-up Chevy Venture minivan. Currently preparing its sophomore album, "This is an Adventure," The Lighthouse and the Whaler "offers hope that's more than a consoling illusion."
