Austin based indie band The Eastern Sea will release their third album, a holiday collection entitled “First Christmas on November 27, 2012.” The album will feature two original tracks and covers of holiday favorites. The album will be available exclusively with iTunes.

The band had a busy year of promoting their second album Plague including non-stop touring and appearances at Austin City limits, Index Festival, Free Press Summer Fest and more. On a short break and armed with a desire to create something fun and memorable they headed back to the studio in the dead of the Texas summer and churned out a Christmas record. Produced, engineered and mixed by Louie Lino (Nada Surf, Matt Pond PA, The Wooden Birds) The result is a sweet, dreamy, and somewhat melancholy winter companion.
