Sweetwater String Band is a cello driven 4-piece bluegrass band founded in the Eastern Sierra of California in 2008. Recent tours have taken them throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, including festival stops at the Humboldt Hills Hoedown, Millpond Music Festival, the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, RapidGrass, YarmonyGrass, and the Lost Sierra Hoedown to name a few.
In 2014 they released their second album "River of Rhymes" which has been well received by critics and fans alike which Gideon Thomas of No Depression describes as "a work of both intimacy and wide-scale, cinematic vistas…instantly likeable, a truly worthy listen. The songs are great, their playing immaculate, and their approach and subject matters fascinating.”
You can purchase River of Rhymes at their website, or via any major online distributor.
