Hot on the heels of a critically acclaimed debut album, Ruth Koleva presents a new direction in her musical style backing away from her unique soulful, jazzy sound and combining new elements of pop, indie and beautiful live orchestrations.
The Bulgarian artist, still only 25, has become a national treasure, sharing the stage with legends including imperious jazz vocalist Bobby McFerrin, mentoring on popular talent show Music Academy and performing a sold-out concert to more than 1,300 guests at Bulgaria Hall with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra only a year ago.
As a vocalist and songwriter Ruth has worked with many of today's big names, but has always kept an ear to the ground when it comes to club culture and the roster of producer remixers on her 2015 Rhythm Slave album confirms that.(Kaidi Tatham, Opolopo, Zed Bias to name a few)
Ruth's latest single Run takes her music to a whole new level. Combined with her powerful performances, beautiful staging and live band, Koleva is definitely one of the artists who will storm the stage in the next year.
Already an artist in Mark Ronson's watch-list, Ruth's new artistic direction, guided by LA based, super composer - Kan Wakan, is about to bring a whole new genre in the indie pop scene.
"Ruth Koleva's voice is amazing! I loved her first album, and love the song "Run" even more! " Mark Ronson
"Koleva is the best thing we've had from Eastern Europe lately" Robert Elms - BBC
"Ruth's voice is so emotional, you want to hear more" Andreya Triana
