Roem Baur is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter who began singing his heartfelt songs in the agriculturally rich small town of Modesto, California. After a short stint as an award-winning stage actor Baur exploded onto the local music scene scene, becoming a fixture at open mic and cafes in the Central Valley and SF Bay Area. With his opera trained voice and soulful acoustic sound, he was soon playing to thousands at festivals and traveling all over the world, playing to small crowds in Thailand, Mexico, Belize, and Argentina, where he recently wrote and recorded with local musicians. And all of this has been accomplished independently, without the help of labels or management, with only the support of his grassroots fan base. Whether it be overseas, or across the street, his preferred venue has always been the houses of friends and fans, which is how he recently released his first album, in a living room, just a few blocks from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
