Mike Borgia is an Italian American singer-songwriter with over two decades of experience as a professional musician and performer. Born in New York, Mike spent his teens playing clubs as guitarist and backup singer in a progressive metal band. His style slowly evolved to include other genres, notably punk and indie rock, and from 1990s into the early 2000s he fronted the popular indie rock band “Tread.” In 2001 Mike embarked on a solo career and over the next decade performed several tours of the UK while releasing nine solo records. His UK tours garnered him a loyal fanbase which allowed him to maintain a steady career as a touring recording artist. In 2011 he formed the band “The Problems” in New York along with cellist Nathan MacCormack and drummer Brian Bauer. The trio released a well-received EP entitledLive or Die, You Won’t Be Lonely. Shortly thereafter, Mike moved to Kansas City and reformed the group with a new lineup and released the album Goodbye New York in 2012. The Problems second full-length album, and Mike’s eleventh, Shame, was released in September 2013. It doesn't stop there. The Problems are putting together their first ever live album for fall of 2014, which will also include three studio recorded tracks.
