About

A newly formed electronic pop duo based in Los Angeles, CA, Lovers & Poets (husband-and-wife team of Shannon Hurley and Ben Eisen) formed in Nashville in 2009. Their influences range from Zero7 and Air to New Wave 80's. Now based in L.A., L+P have been played on KCRW, Adam Carolla's ACE Broadcasting Network (on the Film Vault), the Chillcast with Anji Bee, and tv shows like "Young and the Restless". Hurley, who writes the songs, also tackles the vocals, synths, and laptop, while Ben holds down the bass guitar and additional programming. Hurley remotely recorded and mixed most of the album from Saigon, Vietnam (where she had taken a three-month stint playing lounge piano at a hotel), having had Eisen record his bass parts from Nashville. They both moved back to Los Angeles to wrap up the record. The debut album, "Lovers & Poets", can be found on iTunes, Amazon, Pandora and CD Baby.
