About
Joel Rockey is also a minstrel of songs crafted under the influence of a musical pantheon. He spins yarns of brokenness, redemption, and the embrace of redemption amid the ashes of brokenness. Over the past decade, Joel has been recording and distributing collections of songs from The Mustard Room which has served as his laboratory from the beginning. Since 2001, he has written dozens of songs and released 11 albums in the popular compact disc format. While often utilizing a plethora of instrumentation during recording, Mr. Rockey typically performs live with the accompaniment of a guitar, ukulele, harmonica and the occasional tambourine. He has, however, been known to recruit and perform with friends from time to time under such monikers as Flying J & The Pilots, Penguins of the Horse Kingdom, and Aunt Arctica. He is currently spending time with babies and writing pseudo children's books while itching to record a new batch of songs.
