He released his debut album, “Quarter Two Three” in 2010, and his sophomore album, “Virtue and the Vice” in 2016. His first effort received high praise within its respected circles. Lively Times wrote, "Koelzer already conjures the low-light ambience of hip uptown nightclubs and large downtown ballrooms, exuding confidence from flawless technique and spot-on intonation." Jazz Times featured "Quarter Two Three" in the November and December, 2010 issues. His music is an eclectic blend of contemporary vocal jazz, blue-eyed soul, and pop. Jake studied vocal performance, piano, writing and literature at Berklee College of Music and Montana State University. He has been featured with numerous ensembles and swing bands alike.
