Folsom Records, based in Nashville, is an independent record company that is built on fostering a spirit of artistic freedom, collaboration and returning music to its roots/essence. Folsom believes in supporting artists’ vision and focuses on raw, roots-oriented projects.
Twin Forks is a folk/roots/Americana collective founded by Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carabba. With an EP and LP both called Twin Forks, the male/female vocal interaction creates a certain frisson that evokes vintage country duets, old time, folk and post modern Appalachia.
Dan Layus, Augustana’s front man, released Dangerous Things in late 2016. He spent much of last year on the road solo, opening shows around the world for the Dixie Chicks, LeAnn Rimes in England and Grand Ole Opry debut.
The Social Animals hail from Duluth, Minnesota and mostly live in their cargo van. With the Formative Years EP landing summer 2016, the band is finishing their debut album The Early Twenties in Nashville at Chris Carrabba's Deep Deep South studio with Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies, Uncle Tupelo) for 2017 release.
