Dominique Bérose is a pianist from Guadeloupe (French West Indies) who actually started on drums in orchestras in Basse-Terre, before starting playing keyboards in the late 70s. After playing in the Fabiano Orchestra, he moved to Paris, playing in various clubs and accompanying many French stars, such as David Koven and Bernard Lavilliers. A very eclectic and professional musician, he is very much called by many artists and is soon to be seen next to Babik Reinhardt, Papa Wemba and Michel Fugain… Around the 90s Dominique goes back to Caribbean music, takes part in Volt-Face, plays with Beethova Obas, and accompanies Edith Lefel at the Olympia, but never quite forgets about jazz music! He records with David Dahan « Jack le Jazzman » for Dreyfus label. As for the African continent, he plays with Africando, Manu Dibango, Monique Séka…The list of the stages he played on, throughout the world, whether in Europe, Africa or Asia, is rather long. For the last few years, he’s been devoting his time to his personal project, along with his wife Sonia Bérose. A project that turned, in 2012, into a beautiful album called « Parcours » and celebrating thirty years of music.
