About

Christafari made history this year with their “Reggae Worship” album as the first Christian artist to hit #1 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart! On the heels of this tremendous success, comes a Christmas themed worship album. On “Reggae Christmas,” Christafari uses the same proven approach as “Reggae Worship” by retooling timeless holiday worship songs and reggae-fying classic Christmas carols with splendid results.

Christafari has recorded 16 albums over the past 24 years, but despite their fan’s numerous requests for Christmas music, they’ve never recorded a Holiday album… UNTIL NOW! While the primary genre of this 17 track album is roots reggae, the album also delves into such subgenres as ska, dancehall, and even a touch of dubstep. One of the things that stands out the most on this album is Christafari’s unique take on the classics and the addition of original melodies and lyrics to transition them into to the 21st century and the genre of reggae. ================================================ Ministry Statement: “The songs that we chose to cover on this album are worshipful at heart and full of powerful lyrics of praise and rich with doctrine on the incarnation. What I love about Christmas music is that with the Holiday season, we have a unique opportunity to preach the gospel to unbelievers that may not visit church any other time of the year. We see over 5,000 souls come to Christ through our concerts each year and genuinely hope that this album gives us an even greater opportunity to see a harvest of souls in the winter.” —Pastor Mark Mohr (producer and lead vocalist for Christafari)
