About

Charlie Barclay (born January 22, 1990) is a singer/songwriter from Dallas, Texas. Barclay grew up around talented musicians, but never considered music until he discovered John Mayer just before his twentieth birthday. He considers Mayer his main influence, but also draws inspiration from current artists such as Andrew Belle, Ben Rector, and Steve Moakler as well as classic artists such as Jim Croce, the Grateful Dead, and Led Zeppelin. Through his refined taste in music, he's been able to produce songs with infectious melodies and lyrics that stay with you far beyond your first listen. He released his first single, Shallow Hearts, on December 11, 2012 and it exceeded all expectations, peaking in the Top 50 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. Barclay is due to release his debut EP, The Love You Give, on April 26th, 2013.
