Four Letter Words EP
Milwaukee / Folk : Country
About
Buffalo Gospel was born in the winter. It was born in a part of town where there were more corner bars than corners and more blue collars than white. In their blue collar faces, in their blue collar cups, in their blistered, 90 proof tales of then and now, Ryan Necci, songwriter and singer, found his voice. Often accompanied by the sweet, rich whiskey-soaked vocals of Milwaukee native, Heidi Spencer (Heidi Spencer and the Rare Birds), his lyrics speak to the haunting reminiscence, heart-rending pain and simple pleasures of rural life. Their first EP, “Four Letter Words”, was written and released in the snow-covered part of 2009 and was soon followed by “The Good Land” in 2010. The band is hard at work on a new full-length album with a planned release in the spring of 2012.
